Painting > Unravelled Series

These paintings are all acrylic on Stonehenge paper. The horizontals are 30" x 44" (76 x 112 cm) and the vertical ones are 30" x 22" (76 x 56 cm).

They are a response to my mother's gradual decent into dementia and the unravelling of the ability to write, think and speak clearly. The language-like marks represent a form of communication that is obscure and unfathomable but which, when spoken by our loved ones, becomes a labour of love to understand.
